Description

It's this extensive versatility that makes the Katana MKII Boss's most functional amp to date, and why players now have the power to truly explore their creativity to its fullest. GA-FC and GA-FC EX support allows you to select Tone Setting memories, turn effects on/off, and more with BOSS’s dedicated foot controllers. Using Boss's Tube Logic approach, the Katana MKII becomes richer and more responsive as you crank up the volume. Simply connect it to your rear-panel Power Amp In jack to bypass the onboard preamp and internal effects and go straight to the Tube Logic power section.

Ready-To-Mix Direct Tones - With Line, USB, and phone/recording outputs at your disposal, the Katana MKII can be directly connected up to any PA System, DAW, or headphones. However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. If your goods develop a fault within the warranty period, we'll quickly repair or replace the item for you. Powered by BOSS’s innovative Tube Logic approach, the Katana-50 MkII EX responds like a genuine valve amplifier as you crank up the volume. The BOSS Katana-50 MkII EX expands on the capabilities of the Katana-50 MkII model, providing more performance versatility in the same portable design. The tone is perfect for playing in a metal band and the size/weight makes it really portable for gigs. The Boss Katana 50 MKII EX ticks all of those boxes and lets the player quickly and easily find the right sounds to complement the instrument and the style that they are playing - whether they are looking for smooth, shimmering clean tones or full-on Metal distortion - and the basic sounds can be optimally enhanced with the amp's high-quality onboard effects. Whether you want to hear organic-sounding, vintage tube tones, something a little more modern and high-gain, or even a dedicated voice optimised for acoustics, the five primary amp characters on the Katana can take you there. Since 1973, BOSS has pioneered the development of unique and innovative products for guitarists everywhere. These include selectable microphone types and positions to afford you greater control on your direct sound.

I would recommend for all playing styles except modern heavy metal guitar as the heavier high gain sounds are a bit lacking IMHO.The Clean setting gives you all the crisp, natural clarity you crave, while the Crunch option provides those gritty, blues-rock tones that defined an era. But unlike that classic tube amp, Katana MkII's variable Power Control makes it easy to fly in the sweet spot without getting fired from the gig or kicked out of the house. Four preset slots (two banks of two) are available, which can be switched on the control panel or via a compatible external footswitch (sold separately). The core platform that made the Katana range so renowned has been turbocharged with more features, sounds an effects. New EQ Block In FX Chain: Shapes your tone within the effects chain, granting even more sound refinement.

Newly-voiced variations are now available for all five amp characters, ultimately doubling the amount of tones at your disposal! I bought this amp at the beginning of 2020 (so the beginning of the pandemic) since I needed an amp that I can use at home, without waking up my neighbors. My only complaint is that the noise gate is actually a noise suppressor (and sadly not a very good one, especially for metal) and degrades the open state of this "gate" in an attempt to supress noise. GA-FC and GA-FC EX support allows you to select Tone Setting memories, turn effects on/off, and more with our dedicated foot controllers. Must be purchased at the time of initial product sale unless otherwise agreed by Rimmers Music (with written consent). And with Boss' Tube Logic technology, the Katana 50 MkII delivers the convincing feel and harmonic content of genuine tube amplifiers. Expanded Cab IR Capabilities - The Line Out cabinet IR options now include selectable microphone types and positions, giving you greater control of your direct sound.

Covers Product Replacement Cost: If your product develops a fault within the guarantee period beyond economical repair your product will be replaced "like for like" as determined by Rimmers Music, or monetary compensation will be given to the equivalent current market value of the product at the time (subject to condition at the sole descretion of Rimmers Music). These are new but may not necessarily be in perfect condition and could have had minor repairs, marks, scratches and/or other defects.Hundreds of different options are of course nice to have (and the Katana 50 MKII offers a great many), but ultimately, the decisive factor is how easy the amp is to use, how precisely players can customise their sounds, and of course whether the end result sounds great. Im planning on learning electric guitar and Im planning to get a Katana 50 Mk2 as my first amp (and hopefully my only amp for the foreseeable future). Built using traditional craftsmanship with new and innovative designs, the Katana amps offer class-defying tones with an excellent touch response and presence. No statement or condition of sale contained within these terms affects or restricts your statutory rights as defined under the Consumer Contracts Regulation 2014 ? But unlike that classic tube amp, Katana MkII’s variable Power Control makes it easy to fly in the sweet spot without getting fired from the gig or kicked out of the house.
