Description

The colours lend themselves ideally for the production of a variety of hues, tints and shades by mixing, dilution or concentration, or by the superimposition of washes.

Towards the end of this Brusho techniques video I created an abstract floral just to explore the medium. Brusho is unique in the sense that many of the effects you can achieve by using it cannot be replicated with any other media! Red, Scarlet, Alizarin Crimson, Brilliant Red, Rose Red, Crimson, Purple, Violet, Prussian Blue, Ost. But after playing with these for a while, I was happiest with the paintings where I let the Brushos do their thing. Achieve stunning results and experiment with a wide range of techniques from pen and ink work to watercolour painting, batik, painting models and more!Traditional watercolour painting can be stressful at times; there are lots of opportunities for the painting to go wrong.

Brusho water-colour powders are very easy to use and are very popular with crafters for scrapbooking, journaling, watercolour painters, illustrators, card makers, designers, and any creative extrovert who loves rich vibrant colours that sing off the paper. We suggest anyone starting out with BRUSHO use it along side a few watercolour staples such as a good quality watercolour block so there's no need to stretch paper. Many old paintings by famous artists have changed colour because of the permanence (or otherwise) of the colours used.

To protect Brusho and other water colour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, ultra violet radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches it is recommended that you use a high quality uv spray. In the Brusho Secrets DVD Joanne lays out her complete step-by-step guide to the Brusho painting method. However, if the pigments are lightly spritzed with water or the powder dropped onto a wet surface, the separate pigments which make up the colour appear. Colourcraft Colours and Adhesives LTD did not ask me to review them, or any other company for that matter, or even knew that I planned to do so. Water-Soluble Wax pastels work in the same way as the Water Soluble pencils, apply before you use the Brusho inks, during or after, the choice is yours!

With this glazing technique you usually wait until the first layer is dry before you apply the next. Some colours provide a solid colour so creating a colour chart would be an exciting and informative exercise before embarking on a major project. Because it's so loose and expressive, it's much easier and faster to learn than traditional watercolour painting.

Once dry you can paint over and then when your painting is dry rub off the masking fluid leaving the white of the paper. Masking fluid can be used with Brusho paints or inks, just paint using a ruling pen or silicone applicator or an old brush onto the paper and leave to dry. If you already use watercolour paints, then Brusho is a great medium for you to try, use it alone, or alongside you traditional watercolour paints.

When you sprinkle the powder onto wet paper it immediately dissolves, and color explodes across the page. It's fun to use, beginner-friendly and ideal if you want to learn how to create very contemporary, very striking images to hang on your wall or even sell!Because the pigment powder is so fine, some artists may wear a mask, especially if they suffer from respiratory problems. Dry Brusho powder can also be sprinkled on top of wet watercolour paint to create additional textures. Below is a list of the extensive range of vibrant colours which are fully intermixable with each other. Sunburst Lemon, Lemon, Yellow, Gamboge, Yellow Ochre, Sandstone, Terracotta, Vermillion, Orange, Ost. The little white tubs of Brusho have a tab to pull which would break the seal of the lid and allow you to pop it off.
