is a tender, empathetic, and beautifully considered picture book with such a delightful story and colour-saturated, rich and wonderful pictures from Joyce Dunbar and Petr Horáček.

She was a creative writing tutor on the Greek island of Skyros for 10 years, and is also a tutor for The Arvon Foundation. In the week of publiciation the book was cancelled and rather than see them pulped, she bought 100 copies and used them to insulate the attic. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I also sell a 32 part Learning Series on the alphabet, counting, colors addition subtraction, Dinosaurs, Sea Creatures, Insects, etc.

Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. Will usually dispatch within same working day if paid before 14:00 GMT (excludes weekends and holidays). The project stalled for a long time, then GRAFFEG , an independent Welsh publisher, issued sparkling new versions , continuing the classic illustrations by James Mayhew.

Calendar arrived safely in plastic-free packaging - which I've not seen before with a calendar, so kudos for that. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you. There is so much empathy, love and warmth in Joyce Dunbar’s text, while Petr Horáček’s pictures are lush, overlayered, coloured and inclusive. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books.Thereafter, he continued to offer surprises, from awakening her by pouncing on her in the morning, to upsetting the goldfish bowl, when he wanted to play. What’s more he did this to other creatures, to awaken Rosie and then once to ‘ play with the fishes’ in the goldfish bowl! What’s more, it seemed as though the baby birds took no notice of him, while the squirrels just ‘ stared and skipped right over him’. This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally).
